3月,重庆市诺林巴蜀外籍人员子女学校成功举办国际日主题项目制‘PBL International Day’学习活动。作为一所汇聚多国师生的国际化学校,诺林巴蜀老师通过PBL项目制学习和STEM跨学科融合教学,培养学生的跨文化感知与理解能力,而国际日正是这一理念的生动体现。

In March, KLIS successfully hosted the International Day PBL。 As an international school with students and teachers from multiple countries, KLIS integrates Project-Based Learning ‘PBL’ and interdisciplinary STEM teaching to cultivate students’ cross-cultural awareness and ability。 International Day serves as a vivid reflection of this educational philosophy。

本次活动邀请了多国驻渝领事馆代表作为“国际日专家”分享各国文化,旨在激发孩子对未知世界的探索热情,让孩子们带着一颗尊重文化差异与价值的心去探索不同的文化。

This year, KLIS invited representatives from various consulates in Chongqing as “International Day Experts” to share insights into their respective cultures。 The event aimed to inspire students‘ curiosity about the world and encourage them to explore different cultures with a mindset that respects diversity and values。

启程:模拟飞行,开启国际日PBL之旅

活动伊始,学生们体验了一场趣味“模拟飞行”。随着Tara老师的介绍,国际日正式拉开帷幕。学生们带着“机票“和”行程单“登机,开启了一场虚拟环球之旅,为接下来的国家探索项目‘PBL’预热。

The event began with an engaging “flight” experience。 As Ms。 Tara introduced International Day, students embarked on their learning adventure with “boarding passes” and “itineraries” in hand。 This virtual journey set the stage for the upcoming PBL country exploration projects。

专家分享:驻渝领事馆代表带来全球视野

Expert Sharing: Consulate Representatives Provide a Global Perspective

为了让同学们更深入地了解各国文化,诺林巴蜀特别邀请了柬埔寨、匈牙利、意大利、菲律宾、乌拉圭、加拿大等国的驻渝领事馆嘉宾和代表作为“国际日专家”,向学生们介绍各自国家的风土人情、历史传统和现代发展。

这些外交官的分享不仅拓宽了学生们的国际视野,也为他们的PBL研究提供了权威参考,从这样的学习模式出发,培养孩子解决问题、批判性思维和创新能力、公开英文演讲与表达技能。

To deepen students’ understanding of global cultures, KLIS invited consulate representatives from Cambodia, Hungary, Italy, the Philippines, Uruguay, Canada as “International Day Experts。” These guests introduced their countries’ customs, traditions, and modern developments, providing students with valuable firsthand insights。

The diplomats’ presentations broadened students’ global perspectives and served as authoritative references for their PBL research。 Through this learning experience, students honed their problem-solving skills, critical thinking, creativity, and English public speaking abilities。

国际日盛况:学生化身“各国代言人”

A Grand Celebration: Students Become “Cultural Ambassadors”

这次的国际日项目学习历时2个月,选国际日为主题意在让学生了解不同的文化,从文化维度上进行探索,老师们引导学术选择感兴趣的国家作为课题进行探索;在国际日当天,从PreK1到G5的学生们分别选择了40多个国家进行深度研究,并通过多种形式展示学习成果:

This International Day project spanned two months, with the theme designed to encourage cultural exploration。 Teachers guided students in selecting a country of interest for in-depth research。 On International Day, students from PreK1 to Grade 5 showcased their findings on more than 40 different countries through a variety of engaging presentations。

学生们身穿各国传统民族服饰、布置展台、准备精心制作的PPT展示,向嘉宾和同学们介绍所选国家的语言、文化、经济、气候等。从俄罗斯的套娃到印度的宝莱坞,从巴西的足球到冰岛的极光……每个展台都充满了独特的异国风情。

Dressed in traditional attire, students decorated booths and prepared carefully crafted PowerPoint presentations to introduce their chosen country’s language, culture, economy, climate, and more。 From Russian Matryoshka dolls to Bollywood in India, from Brazil’s Carnival to Iceland’s Northern Lights—each exhibit brought the essence of different cultures to life。

除了知识分享,学生们还亲手制作了各国的特色菜,让嘉宾们通过味蕾感受世界文化。津巴布韦牛肉串、马来西亚米糕、巴西柠檬汁、新加坡夹心吐司……现场俨然成了一个小型“联合国美食节”!

Beyond sharing knowledge, students also prepared traditional dishes from around the world, allowing guests to experience global cultures through taste。 The event featured Zimbabwean beef skewers, Malaysian rice cakes, Brazilian lime juice, Singaporean kaya toast, and more, transforming the venue into a miniature “United Nations Food Festival”!

跨文化理解,从课堂走向世界

Cross-Cultural Understanding--From Classroom to the World

PBL国际日活动不仅是诺林巴蜀的年度盛事,更是学校国际化教育理念的生动实践。项目制学习的趣味性在于充分赋予学生自主学习和创意提升,从课题选择到成果展示,所有过程都有学生们自己主导,通过这样的活动,学生们不仅学习到世界各国的知识,更在合作、研究、表达中提升了全球胜任力。

未来,诺林巴蜀将继续打造更多跨文化学习机会,让每一位学生都能成为真正的世界公民!

The PBL International Day event is not only a major annual celebration at KLIS but also a vivid demonstration of the school’s commitment to international education。 The essence of project-based learning lies in granting students autonomy and fostering creativity。 From topic selection to final presentations, students took the lead in every step of the process。 Through this experience, they not only gained knowledge about different countries but also enhanced their global competence through collaboration, research, and communication。

Moving forward, KLIS will continue to create more cross-cultural learning opportunities, ensuring that every student grows into a true global citizen!
